Has anyone tried...Marc Jacobs' new perfume?

I saw a picture of Marc Jacobs new perfume, Rain, in this month's Bazaar but haven't seen it in the stores yet and am dying to know if anyone has tried it yet. Please share details because it sounds like it would smell perfect as a daytime fragrance (notes of tropical rain, cut grass, white orchid, etc.)!

Lust List: Paco Rabanne bubble dress

Oh-so-pretty! I have exciting dinner plans this weekend and have been scouring the web to research LBDs. Not that I don't already have a couple of classics in the closet ready to go at a moment's notice (my Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan and Michael Kors LBDs were worth the investment since they always look sophisticated and make me feel like a million bucks) but it's fun to shop for new ones. I'm thinking this Paco Rabanne is just lovely and I can't wait to see it in person when I go to Saks on Friday. The soft pleating gives an architectural element that makes this one a standout.

Must-Have: Comfy Tshirts for $24

I had a 20% off coupon from Express burning a hole in my pocket so I stopped in to pick up a plain black tshirt. It's one of those staple wardrobe items that you can never have too many versions of so I figured, why not? There were a ton of options, but the best in my opinion is the short sleeve smocked baby doll tshirt in super comfy soft cotton. The keyhole at the top is low enough to give it a sexy edge and the bodice isn't too huge that it makes you look like you're trying to hide something....although for my 4 friends that are currently pregnant, this could be the shirt for you!

For $24 it is worth going back to stock up on a few more colors no matter what stage your body is in for the summer.

Road Tested: Sally Hansen Diamond Top Coat

I love getting manicures but hate getting chips the next day (duh, who doesn't). I've been testing different top coats to use on my own the day after the manicure to help extend the life of the polish. So far, the winning formula appears to be Sally Hansen's Diamond Strength Diamond Base & Top Coat. I used it a full day after I was at the salon (last week's color choice: Essie's Chocolate Kisses) and after a weekend of office work, house work, going out, and, shopping, of course, the manicure is still looking tres fabulous!

In My Bag: Garnier Fructis Surf Spray

Like many of you, I spend a ton of money of my hair. From the cut and highlights to shampoos and deep conditioners, the flat iron to the curl enhancers, I am always taking out my wallet for one reason or another. I am on a total cheap product kick this week because nothing has made me happier than a $4 bottle of "surf" hair spray from Garnier Fructis. I cannot stand their annoying commercials, but the ads must have worked on me because I bought the spray and have used it religiously this week. Hair dryer, be damned! There are just some days where I do not feel like spending an hour on blowing out my hair to perfection and rather prefer the scrunched up, tousled beach look. Plus, this is one of the few "beach" products on the market that I've found to actually work -- it's easy and gives my locks a break from the heat of the dryer. Spritz, scrunch, et Voila!

Poll: What is the top Spring fashion item on your shopping list?

It still doesn't quite feel like Spring weather yet on the east coast, but that hasn't stopped me from shopping 'til my little heart's content. (One would think I'm out to break a record when it comes to number of wedges purchased so far!) Next on my must-buy list: Gucci's oversized sun glasses with the floral horsebit detail. I am in love with these shades!!!

What's the top item on your shopping list?

In My Bag: Sonia Kashuk products

I'm a big Target fan but when it comes to cosmetics I usually go luxe all the way and don't even wheel my cart through the makeup section. I decided to give the Sonia Kashuk line a shot and so far, so good! I love when inexpensive products actually deliver! The pressed powder is fantastic ($8.99), lasts all day and has lovely coverage. The color palette I chose has a variety of eye and lip colors, all very neutral but rich in pigment and a perfect compliment to my skin tone ($11.69). The packaging is sleek and white -- very modern. One suggestion, if there's a Target near you then get your Sonia in the store because the web site indicates it will take 2-6 weeks to ship. Enjoy!

In My Bag: a new lingerie bag

I've been a fan of Kept Couture ever since I discovered how useful their lingerie bags are. (Yes, I'm one of those people that actually put my "dirties" in a plastic bag and jammed it in the back of my suitcase while on vacation. What was I thinking?!?!) Kept just launched a new collection of seriously luxurious silk lingerie bags - this time in an ultra sophisticated palette. My favorite is the chocolate brown with powder blue lining version. $78 at Kept Couture.

Oscar Fashion Poll

Lots of glamour and lots of beautiful dresses last night, yes? I loved Michelle Williams marigold yellow dress -- definitely a stunner.

Who do you you think looked the best?

Has anyone tried...LM Creme Brulee Creme Body Wash?

I was cruising around online and found this decadent sounding body wash from Laura Mercier called Creme Brulee Cream Body Wash. I'm wondering if it's as creamy as it sounds (warranting the word Creme twice in it's title!) and as delicious as it is described to smell (a rich caramel and creme with hints of French vanilla beans and white musk). I love scented body washes and am almost finished with my Kiehl's grapefruit-scented wash that I've been clinging to for so long. Time to try something new and this sounds YUMMY!

Poll: What's your favorite lip gloss?

I discovered an old Chanel "Sirop" in a handbag that I thought I'd misplaced. I think I was more happy to have refound the gloss, truth be told, because it was one of my favorites. A bright peachy, flamingo shade of pink guaranteed to brighten up any pale winter skin.

What's your favorite?
