Clean, Fresh, Pure: the perfect summer scents

A super sweet friend of mine bestowed the perfect gift upon me this week. Two new candles from White Barn New York found their way into my possession in the delightful scents of Fresh Linen and Terry Robe. Both are clean and crisp-smelling, just perfect for enjoying at the beach while feeling the ocean breeze come in, or while lounging around, enjoying your morning coffee and taking your time to read the paper. If you're looking for a fresh start to your day (or your life, for that matter), these are your go-to scents.

In My Bag: Tulip Skirts @ $10

Ugh -- it's 95 degrees in the shade and I need something easy, breezy to toss on. Old Navy to the rescue, my friends. I scored this tulip skirt in black and in white. It's cotton jersey, super swingy, and short without being obnoxious. A total steal at $10 a piece.

A Cause Worth Shopping For: BCRF

A portion of all Jennifer Grove dangling rose quartz earrings will now be donated to the BCRF.

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation was founded in 1993 by Evelyn H. Lauder as an independent, not-for-profit 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to funding innovative clinical and genetic research. The Foundation supports scientists at leading medical centers worldwide whose research is focused on achieving prevention and a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime. A minimum of 85 cents of each dollar donated to the Foundation goes directly to breast cancer research and awareness programs. BCRF is currently funding over 110 researchers across the U.S. and in Canada, Europe, Latin America, and Israel. The Foundation has received the highest rating from Charity Navigator, four stars, for five consecutive years, which means BCRF has outperformed over 98.7% of more than 5,000 evaluated charities in efficiently managing its finances. In the meantime, get shopping!

Check It: Star Magazine

I never thought I'd be so happy to see Jessica Simpson. . . . featured on the same page as my jewelry, that is!
The Jennifer Grove gold beaded cuff, a lovely addition to any outfit, as inspired by a recent JS ensemble. Cool, n'est ce pas?

Add This To My To-Buy List: Petit Bateau's Striped L/S Tee

Are you as tired of seeing the same white and navy striped tee everywhere? This is a fab twist for those of us feeling less marine-inspired, more french modern. Petit Bateau's famous for their striped tees, but this one is grey with an oatmeal stripe with a very chic cut. $69 affords you some sense of individuality, a tshirt that can be worn on cooler summer nights and straight into the fall, plus a cute smocking detail.

Found! Sunscreen That Goes On Sheer

There's nothing worse than skipping the sunscreen because I'm just not in the mood to feel greasy. Can we say 'slacker'? Enter: Neutrogena's Ultra Sheer sunscreen. It's dry to the touch and has an SPF of 55. The lightweight, non-shiny finish delivers the safe-sun-factor. A must-have for those of us who want to avoid sun damage. There are just way too many bronzer and self-tanner products on the market to risk it, ladies.
