Trend Watch : Pin Tucked Blouses

It may be blustery and cold outside but if you're tired of your winter wardrobe and looking for something new to wear, get a jump on a huge spring trend: pin-tucked blouses. The style says straight-laced-yet-sweet and looks divine with black as well as denim. Look for something with just the right amount of vertical treatment along with one additional delicate detail, such as a swiss dot inlay, button tab closure or novelty buttons and you're set. TIP: It's the perfect style for wearing right now over a black turtleneck (how mod!) and then taking you into warmer weather.

Two of my favorite examples include this Marc by Marc Jacobs version for $178 and this Alice + Olivia semi-sheer version for $198.

Must-Read: Jumping on the Bandwagon

I've been in love with these headbands forever, my friends. They are classic and beautiful; they last forever (and how many companies do you know of out there that offer a lifetime guarantee on their products?!?!) and they solve my bad-hair-day moments in a flash. If I haven't already convinced you to buy one (or both, for that matter), now is the time before we sell out....The New York Daily News featured our headbands yesterday as their pick for a style solution on these blustery winter days.

Look What I Found: Perfect Makeup Primer

I love beauty discoveries that make my life just that much easier...and this one came to me in the form of a gift from a dear friend of mine. She sent a plethora of deluxe skin care products from DHC, the Japanese skin care company that specializes in products made from olive oil. My absolute new fave product? Velvet Skin Coat, $20. It's a powdery gel (does that make sense?) that immediately nullifies all oil and shine in one quick step. The result is a smooth canvas for which to apply foundation or even just dust-on powder. A quick swipe of gloss on the lips, a coat of mascara on the eyelashes and I'm ready to dash out the door...

Lust List : Maiden Beauty Whipped Body Cremes

Ok, so I'm partially biased since I came up with the scent combinations, but you have to check out the latest Maiden Beauty collection. We have three new whipped body cremes ($26 each) and they are simply amazing (again, I'm slightly biased).

I am loving the "Smart" scent since I am in a vanilla phase right now -- it is an incredibly soft, fluffy cream that sinks in and doesn't have a trace of that annoying greasy factor. Completely emollient and skin-softening. It smells delicious, too. More buttery vanilla frosting than spicy vanilla, so if you're a sweet freak like me, this is totally up your alley.

Ready to treat yourself? Enjoy free shipping with this checkout code: "ship4free"....and, please, come back to share feedback on the cremes.

Happy New Year!
